Virtual Development Planning Committee Meeting

This meeting they will be considering four large-scale solar farms: 

  1. Krumkill Road Solar Project - Lands of JL Development, LLC: Requires 2 area variances install two (2) large-scale, ground mounted solar photo-voltaic systems on 61.6 acres located in the Rural Agricultural (RA3) District. 
  2. 6639 Dunnsville Rd and 6627 Lainhart Rd. - Lands of Altamont Orchards Realty, LLC

Here is a summary of each of the projects:

  1. Krumkill Road Solar Project - Lands of JL Development, LLC - Tax ID# 63.00-1-5
    Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. is proposing to install two (2) large-scale, ground mounted solar photo-voltaic systems on 61.6 acres located in the Rural Agricultural (RA3) District. System 1 would be 5MW and system 2 would be 3MW. The existing cell tower access road would be used as the access road to the solar facilities.

    Two area variances would be included with the request. Variance 1 is requesting a front yard setback of 52' where 150' is required and a 50 side yard setback where 150' is required.Variance 2 is requesting to clear trees on 2.09 acres where a maximum of 0.45 acres is permitted
     
  2. 6639 Dunnsville Road & 6627 Lainhart Road Solar Projects -Lands of Altamont Orchards Realty, LLC Tax ID#'s -37-2-2.14; 25-2-6; 37-1-9.1

    6639 Dunnsville Road Parcel - Clean Energy Company is proposing to install a 5MW ground mounted solar photo-voltaic systems on 67.7 acres located in the Rural Agricultural (RA3) District.

    6627 Lainhart Road - Clean Energy Company is proposing to install a 10MW ground mounted solar photo-voltaic systems on 140.97 acres located in the Rural Agricultural (RA3) District.
