There is an explosion of growth going on in Guilderland right now.
Guilderland Coalition for Responsible Growth (GCRG) is concerned with the speed and transparency of the approval process for a sudden explosion of massive new development projects proposed throughout the Town.
GCRG was formed to represent the residents’ rightful voice at every step of these new development proposals.

On August 14th, the Guilderland Planning Board voted for a SEQR Positive Declaration
for the Crossgates (Pyramid) expansion to build Apartments and Townhouses on Rapp Road.
This is good news and requires Pyramid to do an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and the Town to take "hard look" at the project that SEQR requires. The first step in the process is creation of a Scoping Document. The Town is currently taking public comments on Pyramid's proposed Scoping Document until draft scope until September 17, 2019. You can download the Draft Scoping Document and related documents from the town's website, https://www.townofguilderland.org/planning-board/pages/rapp-road-apartments-site-plan-and-subdivision-plan, although as of August 16th it appears to be incomplete.
Coming on September 3rd at the Guilderland Town Board: Public hearings on several issues of importance.
One is a public hearing on procedures for public notices of meetings, and another is on including the residents that live nearby a project earlier in the process. Both are important issues that we are glad to see on the agenda.
Also on September 3rd, the public hearing on the proposed zoning code amendments will be continued. The amendments are on the town website, under “Town Board >> Proposed Local Laws”.
